A comprehensive media guide, a directory of leading firms, and an authoritative fact book on architecture and design statistics are all a part of this 12th edition of the Almanac of Architecture & Design. And leading design firms have an opportunity to include their project photography in the Almanac. This is not adverting, but a marketing and communications initiative that will give them exposure and recognition for their work through full-color photography.
Who Reads the Almanac
The Almanac will be distributed to print and broadcast media including local, national, and global outlets, making it the premier media source for information and contacts regarding architecture and design in the U.S. It will also be circulated to leading clients: every GSA region, facility decision makers in major corporations, facility departments at universities, leading North American developers, and school districts in every state. Libraries too will receive the Almanac, as well as A/E/C association offices, AIA offices, and large firms. The Almanac is also sold to the public in hundreds of the most convenient locations such as Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble, Borders, the DesignIntelligence bookstore, and more than 65 specialized architecture and construction bookstores.
Recognition for Your Firm
The Almanac of Architecture & Design does not accept advertising. It is a reference guide and directory of industry rankings from the publisher of DesignIntelligence. However, firms are given the opportunity to place their project photo adjacent to their listing, guaranteeing prominent visibility, recognition, and brand positioning. This will provide practical and low-cost marketplace connections that enable firms to stand out and communicate with key audiences. The insertion rates to be included in the Almanac photo gallery are modest. But the impact is expected to be huge. Leading firms will be included and pictured in this reference guide. No other reference publication has the endorsements of three Pulitzer Prize recognized critics. No other reference has the endorsement of the AIA, which has called the Almanac “the definitive guide on architecture and design facts.” Furthermore, according to the American Library Association’s Library Journal: “No comparable resource exists.” The 2011 Almanac of Architecture & Design is positioned to become the No. 1 media guide for architecture and design facts. As in the past, we expect to become a trusted resource at the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times, the New York Times, PBS, ABC, CNBC, regional media outlets, the Associated Press, USA Today, and more. The 12th edition of the Almanac of Architecture & Design will become a core reference title for client use, for professional and academic reference collections, and it will be the most highly referenced decision making tool in our industry in 2011.
