Charles Holland is an architect, writer and teacher concerned with the essence of communication. With his London-based practice FAT (Fashion, Architecture, Taste), the office engages cultural practices outside of architecture to inform spatial experience. In a hotel room adjacent to Melbourne’s Federation Square and the moorish-revival Forum Theatre, he speaks with Architecture Australia editor Timothy Moore on the radical impulse of post-modernism and its Australian strain.
